The Impact of "NEH Landmarks of American History" on Me and My Class
I participated in the "2008 NEH Landmarks of American Histroy ---FDR and the World Crisis,1933-1945, " in the United States. The class has made great and diverse effects on my class as follows: First: In my NEH class, American teachers taught us that method of discussion is helpful for improving the students' thinking, imaginative, creative and cooperative skills. For example, after the teacher introduced a topic,he would raise some questions to let the students discuss in groups and then sum up their answers. Second: I studied what Federal D. Roosevelt did during his inauguration. I will introduce what I have studied to my students in detail with my first -hand information. Third: I experienced American cultures and societies personally and I was greatly moved by the unique environment, which encourages humanity and respects nature. I will educate my students to have a stronger sense of environment protection by showing them the pictures to offer direct exposure. Fourth: American students study by themselves by reading a large number of books and seaching for the information they need in their spare time. This deserves to be a model for Chinese students. Overall: We should learn much more from American people.
